Image: A factory dumps pollution in a lake
A factory dumps a fixed amount of pollution $R$ each day into a lake which has a river running through it with daily flow of water $F$. This leads to the an amount of chemical waste $W_t$ and chemical concentration $C_t$ for day $t$ after the factory opens.
